The 2009 Probate Court Directory (7th edition) just arrived in my mailbox today from Minnesota CLE. This is a must-have resource for probate attorneys and made my Top 5 Resources for Minnesota Probate Attorneys list earlier this year.
As probate attorneys who practice in more than one county know, probate courts have many unwritten customs governing the probate practice. These customs vary from county to county. The Directory is a collection of these probate customs and also compiles contact information for each county. This saves a lot of time and can keep you from having probate documents rejected.
A new feature this year is the addition of medical assistance clearance information. This will be particularly helpful for determination of descent proceedings.
The directory can be ordered from Minnesota CLE (though I don’t see a link on their website yet). The cost is $89 and is half-price for season passholders. It is well worth it and remains in my Top 5.

As always, good information, Boyd. Yep, it is a must-have for probate attorneys. I can’t help but mention, though, that practicelaw already worked to collect and publish an online directory for medical assistance clearance issues. It’s available for MSBA members at: http://www.practicelaw.org/172 (must sign in as a member). Unlike a print version, we have set up the online version so that it can be continuously updated if necessary.

Excellent point! The online directory you mentioned is one of the most helpful resources the MSBA has developed in the past year (and that’s saying a lot considering all you’ve done with practicelaw).
I think I need to add a blog post about it.
