Hennepin County has backed-off their previous requirement that a Grantee’s address be included on the Transfer on Death Deed. Since the document is not a conveyance, it is not required. You should still inquire with whichever county you plan on recording the TODD since this document is still very new and there are bound to be kinks to work out.

Until you hear differently, be sure to include the current address of each grantee you include on a Transfer on Death Deed (TODD). Multiple attorneys in the Twin Cities are reporting that metro counties are making this a requirement, even though Minnesota Statutes are silent regarding the matter.
