As I discussed earlier, the Minnesota Department of Revenue has new assembly instructions for attachments to the Minnesota estate tax return (M706).
I’ve just learned that they have released a picture guide on how to properly assemble the M706.

Minnesota’s probate code has remarkably little to say about what the final account of a probate must contain. However, one statute specifies a category of estate expenses that must be included.
Minn. Stat. 525.48 mandates that a final account “shall include a statement of attorney fees and representative fees. This statement shall include the total fees charged to date and estimated future fees to be charged.” As a result, even if the “final account” that you provide to the distributees of an estate is relatively brief, always include these amounts to comply with the statute.
